I have always endeavored to be community involved, and to help others.

Writing has also been a fun activity for me also! I was born in England, and when I was 8, I came in second in a writing essay competition sponsored by Cadbury’s, and which was held throughout Great Britain and Northern Ireland. The story was about how the Easter bunny lost it’s tail. I wish I could recall what I had written!

Over the years, I have delved into different projects on behalf of my children but also to satisfy my curiosity.

I taught cooking classes at the local Boys & Girls Club for 2 years, My children and I delivered Meals on Wheels for 7 years when they were younger, I have 3 sons (one a two time Olympian), my youngest son was a catcher on Great Britain’s National Baseball Team! I created a newsletter and was the Editor for the Adirondack LUGE Club Newsletter “On The Fast Track”, Past Trustee of the Board for the Scarsdale Adult School 8 years, Advisory Board Member, helping to organize and create adult educational programs.. I have been a Soccer Manager, and a Baseball coach, a past PTA Treasurer and Student Advocate for 2 years. I have volunteered in our Special Education classes and one year I baked small gingerbread houses for the entire special education department, and went from classroom to classroom to help them all decorate the houses. It was tiring but fun! I even went into a book store with a large plastic mat on the floor, and helped the children decorate gingerbread houses there also around the Holidays!

I have been a volunteer at our local Humane Society and that is where I met Binky! I do work as a Realtor 7 days a week, and so my volunteer times was basically on a holiday morning feeding the pooches, and cleaning the cages (so the workers could get home home earlier), and on snowy days when I couldn’t work in real estate.
