I was very fortunate and found a great illustrator – Milan Samadder. I did not know at the time, but he was (and is) a very accomplished illustrator in India, and has illustrated numerous books including “Two Dads under the Christmas Tree”, “King of the Dinosaurs”, and “How About Now”.

I would send a verse to Milan, and describe what I envisioned or send photos. From there, he would draft a sketch.

Of course, I kept asking Milan to make me thinner (ha!) but there you have it!
